As this is primarily a road trip, we took extra care. We didn’t want to constantly unload the car into the hotel every night. So, we packed one bag with two changes of clothes for the family, one bag for toiletries, one bag for swimming gear and one bag for hiking shoes and one bag with our day-hiking gear. Everything else is in a big bag that will stay in the car. Add a couple of crates of food, a small cooler for fruit, veggies, bologna and three 12 packs of refreshing soda/lemonade and AWAY WE GO!
The stuff doesn’t even go higher than the back seat of the SUV! We have tons of room for a football and soccer ball. I don’t even have to sit on top of my computer and books. This is the life.
